Currently, most coaching-related research focuses on areas including outcome studies, inquiry into the theoretical foundations of coaching, what makes coaching successful, comparisons between different methods and practices of coaching, return on investment (ROI) and effectiveness in coaching, and coach/client characteristics and impact on successful outcomes.
