College Board Reluctantly Concedes That Coaching Improves Writing Test Scores
Coaching provided "good instruction" to a controlled research group of students, improving writing skills for class assignments as well as the test. The College Board has resisted acknowledging any impact of coaching because of implications that wealthy students who can afford it would have an advantage.
